Meandering down from Burgundy into Lyon, pass through the side roads through tiny and interesting villages and quaint hamlets - some of which are medieval. Discover the village where the Three Musketeers was filmed and take a step back in time.

Follow the road south to the capital of French gastronomy and a UNESCO Heritage site - the city of Lyon with its famous Mothers of Lyon and their gastronomy, and home to many excellent French chefs such as Paul Bocuse, who has several restaurants in and near the city.
Visit the wonderful covered indoor food market of Les Halles with its magnificent variety of food stalls with cheeses, fish, seafood varieties, meats, oyster bars, glace fruits -- just a little Aladdin's Cave! Soak in the atmosphere --- maybe have a glass of white wine with some oysters at one of the oysters bars? Talk to the locals and ask the questions you had in mind ---
Visit the best chocolate shop in Lyon and breathe in the cocoa aromas as you enter the shop - we can give you directions to it!
Investigate the city of Gaul with its Roman remains, the Hill where they Pray and the Hill where they Work! Perhaps take in the Lumiere Museum or the exciting Fete des Lumieres and experience Lyon "en Fete"!
Wander through the most interesting UNESCO Heritage site of Old Lyon and discover the secret passageways and discover the "traboules" in the old silk making district of Croix Rousse -- taste the "Cervelles des Canuts" - the most wonderful local Lyon cheese and mayber have lunch in one of the little famous "bouchons" in the Old Town? Wash this down with a glass of Burgundy?
